Plenty of parking which is key for downtown. Good vibes and plenty of room inside and outside. I didn’t drink anything tonight so I can’t touch on that. The food was good. They have a meat heavy menu, and don’t have much for those with dietary restrictions (like Gf), which is something I think they could improve on if they wanted. I got the fish tacos and fries (both good).
I’d go again, more so to drink and have a small side dish, which I think is the purpose of the bar and they do it well.
Great place downtown with PARKING for a quick bite to eat and a beer. Stopped in for probably the cheapest burger downtown (during happy hour!). Order at the bar and they bring the food out to you. We chose to sit outside. There are a few tables that were kid friendly. The falafel and burger were well worth the price. I will definitely recommend and be back!
We ordered falafel pita plate, shrimp tacos, iced coffee, and cappuccino. Bill was $40. Shrimp tacos quantity was too less for the price and super soggy because of the running liquid. Falafel were undercooked!! Litterly the batter inside was mushy...eykkkk Not recommended. Don't waste your Money:)
Everything about this place is great! Food is fresh and they’ve got the falafel down! Really enjoyed the atmosphere and waitstaff and bartender were fantastic. Happiest Happy hour we’ve had in a long time!
Mercantile and Mash are separate entities owned by the same company operating out of Charleston’s historic cigar factory building (701 East Bay Street) where striking workers first sang “We Shall Overcome”. Mercantile serves an all-day breakfast along with soups and salads and an extensive list of hot and cold beverages (coffee, tea, and smoothies) starting @ 7am weekdays, 8am on weekends. From 10am until close (mid to late afternoon) every day they also serve sandwiches, bowls, charcuterie, etc. Bar Mash opens daily at 4pm for Happy Hour featuring a daily whiskey selection ($3), Miller High Life draft ($2.50), glasses of wine ($6), chips and house made queso ($5), $7 burgers, and $4 soft pretzels. But the fun really starts with its evening events: Wednesday is Burger night (get a Mash Burger, fries and Miller High Life for $12); Thursday night from 7-9pm is team trivia night (free to play, chance to score a gift card for a future dine); Monday’s Prime Rib and Live Music special features huge slices of prime rib, onion rings, and a baked potato or salad (shown here) for $29. A live band plays from 9pm-midnight.
Absolute favorite bar in Charleston. Hands down best bourbon and whiskey prices in town. Friday night Flight night is always a fantastic deal. They always have great food and their burger is stellar. Also can't believe they have Montenegro on tap!
The vibe is right. Cute attentive bartenders. I got food to-go last week and honestly was one of the best meals I’ve had in months. The tea is order a ice cream Sammy if they have them. Live music neighborhood block party vibe on Monday nights. Would recommend. Instagram: @holycityhost
Ok folks, the only reason I’m posting this 5 star review of Bar Marsh is because I’m leaving this beautiful city after working here 3 weeks. To be honest I was afraid if I told too many people about the Monday night (4-7) prime rib special I would never get in. So, my gift to you! You gotta go to Bar Marsh and have the absolute best prime rib you’ve ever had. On top of that it’s $24.95!! Ok, you can thank me later.
